The California Frequency Index is an automated Macintosh datababse of over 5,000 public service frequencies for 567 cities and counties in California.

Easy-to-use with powerful features

Arranged by city name, each data card contains agency names, descriptions, the frequencies and call signs. You may also add personal notes to each data card.

The program offers powerful list and find features. You may extract a list from the database based on a search string that you specify. Sort this list by city name or frequency.You may also print or save data to a text file. A complete, linked index of every city and county is included. Click on the city name to go to its card. The built-in, interactive help screen teaches you all of the many features of this program.

Modify the database to suit your needs

You can modify and update this database as you desire. Add new cards and change the data as cities and counties upgrade their communications systems. You can keep all your public service frequencies in one convenient spot, with easy, powerful search capabilities built in.

There's even an easy way to rebuild the index to include the new cards you add. This database will grow with you.

Freeware, self-extracting

The California Frequency Index is being offered as freeware (ignore the shareware notice in the software). This former commercial product is slightly out-of-date, however the database allows easy personal updating. It gives you a powerful way to organize and list frequencies for cities and counties in California.

The California Frequency Index is downloadble as a compressed, self-extracting archive. Once you download it, double-click the .sea file to extract the full application. You may then throw away the self-extracting archive. If you have your browser set to call Stuffit Expander, it may automatically extract the archive on download.
